Job summary

Idlogistics is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklift equipment and manage inventory in a fast-paced environment. You will load, unload, stack, and stage products while ensuring accuracy and adhering to safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, the ability to pass assessments, and to obtain OSHA certifications. Daily duties include equipment inspection and cooperation with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA).
  • Capable of following safety policies and wearing PPE as required.
  • Commitment to accurate load counts and inventory procedures.
  • Willingness to participate in post-hire assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using powered equipment.
  • Inspect assigned equipment daily and operate safely per OSHA standards.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and orderly equipment, records, and reports.
  • Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and damage-free.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance as needed.

Job description

Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting
devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack,
tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard.

Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment.

  • Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
  • Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
  • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.
  • Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service,
    Transportation and Maintenance.
  • Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.
  • Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self-corrected to the leadership team.
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related
    experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment
    (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety
    policies.
