Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The role includes forklift operation, order picking, packing, shipping and receiving in a clean, safe facility with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Shifts are First Shift: Sunday–Tuesday 6:00 am–6:00 pm; Wednesday 6:00 am–12:00 pm. Ryder offers paid training, career opportunities and a supportive leadership team to help you grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator license required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule across shifts.
• Safety-conscious with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide tech/maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
