Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a forklift operator to move and manage merchandise across the club. You will operate a forklift, load and unload items, and prepare pallets for delivery and display while maintaining a safe, clean store environment.

The role emphasizes safe forklift operation, adherence to policies, and friendly customer service to Members. Training and certification are required, with potential cross-department duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Must complete required training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
• Loads and unloads merchandise to and from delivery trucks.
• Lifts, reserves and drops pallets from overhead systems to the floor and back.
• Transports merchandise and pallets safely throughout the club.
• Stocks and rotates general merchandise and food, ensuring shelves are full.
• Keeps the club neat, clean, and organized and handles general maintenance tasks.
• Participates in daily club openings and closings and returns merchandise to the floor.
• Greets Members and provides prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned and may work in other departments.
