Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Recycling is seeking a Forklift Operator for its Savannah, GA recycling facility. Starting pay is $20-$22 per hour, with weekend/holiday shifts and overtime as needed. Primary duties include loading/unloading trailers with a sit-down forklift, keeping accurate shipment records, and maintaining a safe warehouse environment.

Two shifts are listed: 1st shift 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., and 2nd shift 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Six months or more forklift experience loading/unloading trailers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Maintain accurate records for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep the workspace safe by removing debris from the warehouse.
• Lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
• Promote safe practices and comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Perform tasks involving lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing/pulling for up to 8 hours a day.
