Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Recycling in Savannah, GA is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials and load/unload trailers at our recycling facility.

You will operate a sit-down forklift, maintain accurate shipment records, work with teammates, and uphold strict safety standards. The role includes lifting up to 30 lbs and working weekends with potential overtime; training provided and benefits described in company materials.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• 6 months or more of experience using a forklift to load and unload trailers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Work collaboratively with other team members.
• Ensure a safe work environment by removing debris from the warehouse.
• Perform work that requires lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Promote safe work practices and maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to eight hours a day.
