Schedule : Monday through Friday (Day shift)
Reports to : Warehouse Supervisor
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include :
- Transport, stage, and load products using forklifts throughout production and warehouse facilities. Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment and production, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.
- Identify products and multiple lot codes. Compare identifying information, count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing products to verify against bills of lading, orders, or other records. Stage or put away products in assigned locations. Verify temperature of all incoming products.
- Determine labeling requirements, assemble and pack product containers, and affix labels accurately. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Unpack, examine, route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and record shortages. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Understand quality standards, methods, and reporting requirements. Use safety devices such as lock-out/tag-out procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements include :
- Forklift certification, to be provided by a Thrive Freeze Dry authorized team member.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift or similar equipment.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and operate a computer.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining motivation.
Product Safety and Quality :
- Prioritize food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and implementing Thrive Freeze Dry's policies and procedures.
- Hold oneself and others accountable to safety and quality standards, reporting incidents or observations to leadership.
- Follow product safety and quality standards, GMPs regarding food contact packaging, and SQF system requirements.
Physical Requirements :
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; fine finger dexterity.
- Approximately 50% sitting, 50% walking, and 50% standing.
- Work environment involves temperature variations in a food manufacturing warehouse.
- Unrestricted visual and audio abilities required; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
