Conklin Metal Industries – Birmingham Branch is seeking a Warehouse Associate who can operate a forklift, verify incoming shipments, and load trucks. This on-site role offers a full-time schedule and a pay rate of $17.25 per hour, with potential overtime based on workload.

Qualifications

• Hands-on forklift experience and safe operation daily.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in shipping/receiving accuracy.
• Ability to follow safety protocols without prompts.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and maintain high physical activity.
• Comfort with variable temperatures and occasional schedule changes based on workload.
• Reliable, coachable, and focused on long-term growth with the company.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against invoices, checking accuracy and condition.
• Pull, stage, pack, and load outgoing deliveries and transfers without damage.
• Load and secure trucks following DOT and company standards.
• Organize stock on shelves and bins according to standards.
• Monitor inventory and report discrepancies to management.
• Operate a forklift as part of daily workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
