Fence Direct in Orlando, FL is hiring a Warehouse Associate – Forklift Operator. You will load and stage material, pull orders for customers and crews, and prepare shipments for delivery.

This full-time, on-site role requires operating a propane sit-down forklift, reading tape measures, and ensuring inventory accuracy while keeping the warehouse clean and organized in Florida heat.

Compensation ranges from $18 to $19 per hour based on experience, with benefits and steady year-round work.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a propane sit-down forklift.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Previous warehouse, lumber yard, or building-supply experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Spanish-English bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a propane sit-down forklift safely to load, unload, move, and stage material.
• Pull and prepare customer and crew orders accurately.
• Read a tape measure and confirm sizes, lengths, and quantities.
• Receive vendor deliveries, check against packing slips, report shortages or damage.
• Stock, rotate, and organize inventory for easy access.
• Load installation crew trucks and stage material for pickups and deliveries.
• Help dispatch coordinate loads, pickups, and deliveries with office and crews.
• Assist customers who come in to pick up material.
• Maintain stock records and keep warehouse clean and organized.
