Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Distribution Associate II to operate standup forklifts and support warehouse distribution for a global manufacturer of climate control products in Orlando.

This contract role offers 5:00am–1:30pm hours, a $19.50 hourly pay rate, and duties including handling shipments, receiving materials, and maintaining accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment. A drug screen and background check are required, with steel-toe boots mandatory on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Ability to operate forklifts; standup forklift experience preferred.
• Proficiency with RF scanners.
• Must wear steel toe boots.
• Successful completion of drug test and background check.
• Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment such as standup forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
• Receive goods, verify items against shipment records, and inspect their condition.
• Gather, verify, and pack items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.
• Record received and shipped items following established procedures.
• Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Complete written and computerized documentation accurately.
