Job summary

Vistar, a leading candy, snack, and beverage distributor, is hiring for a warehouse associate in Memphis. You will move products using a forklift or pallet jack, ensure quality and safety, and support the receiving process to maintain smooth operations.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of warehouse experience, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and the flexibility to work in multi-temperature environments. Drug and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6 months to 1 year warehouse or production work experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Lifts between 10–35 pounds regularly and up to 60–100 pounds when required.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Move product from trailer to the dock staging area safely and efficiently.
• Sort and segregate pallets and products as needed.
• Check products for damages and alert receivers when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Position Summary:
Responsible for moving product with a forklift or pallet jack from trailer to another area of the warehouse dock during receiving process. Observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Move product from trailer to appropriate dock staging area in a safe, efficient manner.
• Sort and segregate pallets / product, as necessary.
• Check product for damages and alert receivers, if necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

• 6 Months - 1 Year Warehouse and / or production work experience.

• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 100 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

1 - 3 Years Warehouse and / or production work experience.

Licenses and Certifications:
• Forklift Certification - OSHA Forklift operator certificate
