Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring Permanent Part Time Material Handlers in Waterloo, Iowa.

• Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to second shift
• Schedule: Second Shift Monday - Friday 2:00PM - 10:00PM
• Flexible schedule - 20-30 hours per week within 2nd shift schedule

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctual with good attendance
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Work safely according to health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule availability
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Accurate picking, packing, auditing, and staging of products
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
