Job Overview

Louisa Food Products, Inc. is seeking one (1) Forklift Operator / Material Handler for our first shift. This role involves working in our warehouse, performing duties related to food processing, assembling, and packaging operations. The position is fast-paced and located in a cold freezer storage area. Starting salary is $20.50 per hour, with potential to increase to $21.75 per hour after 1 year, plus semi-annual bonuses. All Material Handlers are also eligible for additional bonus programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, storing, handling, and shipping various products and ingredients.
• Supplying the Production Department with necessary materials and ingredients.
• Maintaining neat and clean storage areas.
• Working across different areas such as dry goods, cooler, and freezer storage as assigned.
• Completing paperwork accurately and communicating effectively in English.
• Overtime may be required on short notice.
• Emphasizing teamwork and collaboration.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Prolonged standing required.
• Operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, deep reach trucks, and hand jacks.
• Lifting up to 80 lbs. as needed.
• Working in variable temperatures, including hot and cold environments.
• Floors may be wet and slippery; proper footwear required.
• Noise levels are high; safety hearing protection must be worn at all times.
