Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana for a Temporary to Permanent position. The role offers weekly pay with a second shift (Mon-Fri, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm) and $19.00 base hourly pay plus $0.50 shift pay.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift license, and relevant warehouse experience. Training is provided; safety and teamwork are emphasized in a clean, organized facility environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma preferred
• 1+ year warehouse/powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and as a team
• Able to work in a diverse environment
• Punctual with good attendance
• Proactive with initiative and accuracy
• Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Able to stand for long periods
• Flexible schedule for shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Adhere to performance guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading/unloading
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
