Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler for the Indianapolis area on a temporary to permanent basis. The role offers weekly pay and a safety‑driven environment in a clean, organized facility handling aerospace products.

Position requires reading and basic math, data entry, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime may apply; on‑the‑job training is provided with safety gear supplied.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer.
• Identify damaged products and take appropriate action during warehousing.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify pallets and stage location.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation maintaining product accountability.
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $31.50 hourly when working overtime
• Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Requirements

• Ability to input data into computer system
• Work overtime as assigned

• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
• Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipmen, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
• Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
