Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Forklift Operator on 2nd shift. Pay is $19.00 per hour with $0.50 shift premium, and weekly pay. Training provided, Safety gear supplied, and a path to permanent employment.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving, plus cycle counting and maintaining accurate paperwork. A valid forklift license and 1+ year warehouse experience are preferred; punctual and reliable team player.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse/powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license/certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team; reliable attendance.
• Flexible schedule and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and perform picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Maintain accuracy in inventory and cycle counting.
• Handle related warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, bills of lading).
• Support automated packing system during core shift hours.

• Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour
• Shift Pay: $0.50 per hour
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
