Stanley Black & Decker in Shelby, OH is seeking a Forklift Operator/Stockmover for the 3rd shift. You will operate a range of forklift equipment, move inventory, and maintain accuracy using RF devices and the WM system.

Must have a high school diploma and forklift license, with the ability to pass daily inspections and training. The role is union-friendly, fast-paced, and offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a global company.

• Keep 6S areas organized and safe; perform daily inspections.
• Cross-train across material handling duties and locations.
• Work assigned overtime and perform other duties as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Forklift Operator/Stockmover you’ll be part of our team located in Shelby, OH. You’ll get to:

• Operates a variety of material handling/forklift equipment including Conventional, Stockpickers, Reach Trucks, Tuggers and Walkie Stackers. This could require getting on and off your lift throughout the shift.
• Correctly and consistently use visual management and safety alerts.
• Moves inventory in and out of production and warehouse areas correctly.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by scanning parts to and from proper locations.
• Right‑size/consolidate inventory to 80% utilization using the correct LPN types and storage media.
• Performs daily inspections on forklifts according to checklist/Infolink.
• Safely maneuvers the facility on forklift.
• Correctly track parts using the RF device and WM system.
• Perform on‑the‑job training as needed.
• Responsible for daily 6S activities, such as housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets.
• Cross train in all areas of Material Handling including both locations, SIC and 305.
• Work assigned overtime when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

• You also have: State approved Maintenance Journeyman’s card or equivalent experience.
• Ability to complete forklift training classes and obtain an MTD/SBD forklift license.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment through daily inspections.
• Ability to use an RF gun.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds consistently, bend, squat and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use the scale for weigh counting.
• Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work, contribute and succeed in a team environment.

Experience & Educational Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent experience. (Case-by-case review)

Licenses or Certifications: Forklift license Driver’s license required.

Work Environment: Must be able to work in a factory environment.
