Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Warehouse Operator in Cumming, GA to drive electric forklifts and prepare shipping records. You will update inventories, verify receiving documents, and assist with loading, unloading, and stacking materials on the dock.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and forklift certification, with 2–4 years of related experience. The role requires reading safety rules, HACCP procedures, and SOPs, plus strong math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, GMPs, HACCP, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Computer skills with MS Outlook, inventory control software, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bills of lading for shipments and verify items loaded.
• Update shipping database and records of receipt of incoming materials.
• Notify supervisor/Quality Management about discrepancies.
• Move materials on the dock using a forklift and lifting devices.
• Load and unload materials, stack pallets, and transport to designated areas.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts.
