Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to operate a forklift, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and maintain accurate inventory records. You will rotate stock, inspect and report damaged goods, and assist with loading and unloading shipments.

You will also perform safety checks, maintain cleanliness of the dock, and use RFGEN/JDE for data entry and tracking. A forklift license and basic English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a company-issued forklift license.
• Reading, writing and understanding English required.
• Preferred experience in shipping and receiving is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial forklift to receive and transfer product and materials.
• Store and retrieve goods, rotate stock, and report damaged cartons or containers.
• Prepare products for shipment and ensure loads are properly loaded and sealed.
• Use RFGEN/JDE for inventory tracking and data entry.
• Perform daily safety inspections and report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain clean and organized dock and work area; follow storage design principles.
• Create product labels and read lot numbers, expiration dates, and production schedules.
