Job summary

Pioneer Metal Finishing is hiring for a Shipping / Receiving Clerk & Forklift Driver on second shift (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) with a $1.50 per hour shift differential. No experience required; training provided to operate a forklift and perform duties such as scheduling carrier pickups and processing purchase orders.

Responsibilities include verifying goods against orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to effectively utilize language: speaking, reading, and writing.
• Must possess effective verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Forklift certification preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Check received goods against purchase orders, freight bills, delivery tickets and other documents.
• Report discrepancies or damage to customer service.
• Accurately hand or scale counts items.
• Prepare purchase orders for subcontracting.
• Expedite rush orders and other conditions affecting work output.
• Attach identification tags to products and distribute to designated areas via forklift or pallet jack.
• Check outgoing product against paperwork and determine shipping method.
• Schedule common carriers for pickups and complete shipment paperwork.
• Maintain clerical records relevant to the function.
