Job summary

Franklin Logistics is hiring a Forklift Operator in Chambersburg, PA. You will load and unload trailers, operate various forklifts, and move goods across Kriner and Guilford Springs sites with RF scanners for accuracy.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of warehouse and forklift experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 25 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site role with weekly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts including 5K, 12K, and 15K models.
• Load/unload trailers and process shipments with RF scanners.
• Pick loads, rack put-away, and unload rail cars or paper rolls.
• Maintain safety, perform forklift inspections, and uphold housekeeping.

Hop into the driver’s seat as a Forklift Operator and become the ultimate mover in the warehouse! You’ll be loading and unloading trailers while picking items with precision using roll clamps, box clamps, single and double forks, and standard sit-down fork-lift operating equipment bigger than a typical 5K lift, so your experience really counts. This role is perfect for someone who’s dependable, can take charge with minimal direction, adapts on the fly, loves the details, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Reporting directly to the site supervisor, you’ll be a full-time, hands-on hero, bouncing between multiple locations to keep trailers and warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position.

• Hours of operation: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM
• Starting Pay $19.75 hourly +$1.00 hourly shift differential
• Primary Work Location: Kriner
• Secondary Work Location: Guilford Springs
• Receive weekly pay

Primary Job Duties:

• Operate 5K, Sit-Down 12K, and Sit-Down 15K Forklifts
• Utilize Single-Double Forks
• Load and unload trailers
• Operate Stand Up Forklift
• Pick loads
• Complete Rack Put‑away
• Receive and process shipments using RF Scanners
• Use proper handling instructions per product specifications
• Document product damages as they are identified
• Operate Box Clamp and Roll Clamp
• Unload rail cars
• Unload and load Paper Rolls
• Fall Protection Certification
• General housekeeping duties in production areas
• Comply with and adhere to all safety policies and regulations
• Perform proper forklift inspections and adhere to all forklift operating guidelines and procedures

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1 year Warehouse Experience (preferred)
• 1 year Forklift (5k or higher) Experience Required
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to walk, bend, lift, and sit throughout the duration of the shift
• Must be flexible with working in multiple site locations
• Pre-hire Drug Screening Required
• Background Screening Not Conducted
