Job summary

48forty Solutions is hiring a Forklift Operator in Chambersburg, PA to load/unload pallets and move materials inside the plant, ensuring safe, efficient production flow. You’ll operate a forklift, stack pallets, and assist with material handling across shifts.

This role offers hourly pay of $18.00–$19.00 and requires 1–3 years of forklift experience, ability to work in a labor-intensive environment, and reliable communication. Overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries of pallets and/or wood to the proper location inside the plant
• Move freshly cut and recycled wood to the appropriate worktable area
• Stack finished products into trailers or to storage areas up to a safe height
• Maintain a safe working environment by lifting, stacking, and transporting materials with all other plant personnel in mind

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to load and unload trailer with wooden pallets and move pallets inside our plants to keep manufacturing production moving efficiently! We’re looking for a motivated individual who will keep things moving at a safe and efficient pace!

Hourly Pay:

$18.00 - 19.00/hr

Shift(s):

1st Shift: Tuesday - Friday 4:30am - 3:00pm

2nd Shift: Tuesday - Friday 3:00pm - 1:30am

3rd Shift: Saturday - Monday 5:00am - 5:00pm

4th Shift: Saturday - Monday 5:00pm - 5:00am

What You'll Do

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
