Job summary

Southshore Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator at our Normal, IL facility. You will safely operate a sit-down forklift, perform daily inspections, and manage inbound/outbound goods in a fast-paced RDC environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, using SAP scanning for accuracy, and assisting inventory control while following safety guidelines and company SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Powered Industrial Forklift Truck License or certification preferred; training provided if needed.
• Prior SAP scanning experience is a plus.
• Inventory control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklift to move, stack, and organize products in the RDC.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and follow safety and operating guidelines.
• Load/unload trucks, receive/process, put-away and pick product, and maintain warehouse organization.
• Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate and timely movement of product.
• Assist in inventory control and report damaged inventory or shortages.
• Adhere to safety protocols and collaborate with team to meet quality standards.
• Replaces forklift propane tank and/or charges batteries as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions and participate in safety trainings.
