Job summary

Concrete Industries, Inc. is seeking a forklift operator for its pipe division. The role involves operating a rough terrain lift truck safely, loading and unloading concrete pipe and manhole products, and coordinating yard storage and loading per company and DOT standards.

The position requires a GED or high school diploma and at least one year of forklift experience. A valid driver’s license is required and forklift certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have safety awareness and the ability to follow department safety standards.
• Excellent depth perception to load and unload materials without damage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Operates a rough terrain lift truck to move and load concrete products.
• Positions loads and transports to designated areas in the yard.
• Coordinates storage of concrete products with yard staff.
• Loads concrete pipe and manhole products for shipment following DOT practices.
• Maintains a clean yard by removing waste materials and debris.
• Assists with maintenance and inspections of equipment and reports issues.
