Job summary

Concrete Industries, Inc. is looking for a forklift operator to join their pipe division. This position operates a rough terrain lift truck in a safe and efficient manner while yarding Concrete Industries pipe and manhole products and materials.

Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Responsibilities include loading and unloading, coordinating storage, and performing daily inspections with a focus on OSHA and NEBCO safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of forklift operation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Operates a lift truck in a safe and efficient manner through levers and pedals to drive the vehicle and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, or other lifting device under, over, or around products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Coordinates storage of concrete products with other yard staff.
• Accurately loads concrete pipe and manhole products for shipment in accordance with Concrete Industries and D.O.T. shipping practices.
• Removes waste material and waste product to maintain a clean yard.
• Assists with maintenance and repairs of pertinent equipment.
• Performs daily inspections and reports maintenance that may be required or performs minor repairs.
• Follows all OSHA, NEBCO, and Concrete Industries safety and human resource policies, programs, and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
