Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions seeks a capable Warehouse Operator to support receiving, inventory, and loading activities at our Houston facility. You will inspect inbound materials, operate forklifts and heavy equipment, and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, material sampling, and daily equipment inspections. A 1–3 year track record in shipping and warehouse operations plus a safety-first mindset are

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
• Capable of lifting up to 51 lbs.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test and respirator fit test.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials in compliance with company regulations and standards.
• Receive and inspect inbound materials using QA/QC procedures.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and sample solid and liquid materials per regulations.
• Verify manifested material types and quantities match received containers.
• Conduct chemical compatibility checks to prevent adverse reactions and ensure safe handling.
• Operate heavy equipment and powered industrial machinery as required.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and use PPE as required.
• Identify safety hazards and report unsafe conditions.
