Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a forklift operator to support our Lancaster, OH manufacturing operations. You will move finished goods, stage shipments, and ensure materials are available to production.

Qualifications

Knowledge of forklift dimensions and load capacity.
Ability to determine doorway, aisle, and shelf dimensions for forklift operation.
Familiarity with storage area layout to locate items without detailed instructions.
Skilled maneuvering of forklifts in tight spaces.
Ability to operate forklift controls for starting, stopping, and reversing in narrow aisles.
Ability to assess load balance and lifting capabilities of forklifts.

Responsibilities

Operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage.
Supplies Manufacturing Department with materials as needed.
Stages product to be moved or shipped.
Racks unused supplies and maintains an inventory of type, amount and location of items.
Transports and processes manufacturing paper by-products.
Performs routine daily inspections on hoist and reports maintenance needs.
