Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Fogelsville, PA is seeking a forklift operator to move finished product, supply materials, stage items, and keep inventory organized. You will operate equipment, support the Manufacturing Department, and adhere to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must know how high, wide, and long the fork lift truck and its load are.
• Ability to identify doorway/aisle dimensions for driving the fork lift.
• Knowledge of storage area layout for item placement.
• Skilled in moving fork lift trucks in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage
• Supplies Manufacturing Department with materials as needed
• Stages product to be moved or shipped
• Racks unused supplies and maintains an inventory of type, amount and location of items
• Transports and processes manufacturing paper by-products
• Empties trash hoppers and performs other housekeeping duties as needed
• Performs routine daily inspections on hoist and reports maintenance needs
• May include battery service duties such as inspecting, recharging and replacing batteries
• May include changing LP/Propane
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures including handling of hazardous waste, lock out-tag out rules, hearing and eye protection
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects
