Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain, Inc. seeks a Forklift Operator I to safely operate basic powered material handling equipment for receiving, storage, and order fulfillment. Emphasis on product safety, quality, legality and integrity.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading pallets from trucks, moving materials with forklifts, stacking to pallets, applying shrink wrap, and performing daily equipment inspections while adhering to OSHA rules. Inventory accuracy through cycle counts is part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment
• Must meet all PPE requirements
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong team player

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors
• Operate forklifts safely to transport and stack materials
• Sort and build products to pallets to meet customer expectations
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery
• Perform daily equipment inspections for maintenance
• Maintain accuracy of storage locations via daily cycle counts
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and perform other duties as assigned
