Westlake Global Compounds in Hazlehurst, MS is hiring a Forklift Operator to move raw materials and finished goods while following safety and GMP procedures. This role supports shipping/receiving, inventory accuracy, and timely production through efficient material handling.

You will operate forklifts, perform daily inspections, and assist in inventory counts. The job requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with potential

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• WorkKeys Silver/Gold/Platinum level is required.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience preferred
• Forklift certification required or must have the ability to obtain
• Must read, count, perform simple math, and write legibly
• Must learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Suite and handheld RF scanners
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Follow all established safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, transport, stack, and stage both raw materials and finished goods using FIFO principles.
• Move raw, finished, scrap, and non-prime materials to designated locations.
• Unload liquid materials from tanker trucks into proper storage tanks.
• Perform daily inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including handling LTL shipments.
• Prepare, verify, and reconcile shipping and receiving documentation; report discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and documentation and assist in monthly inventory counts.
• Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure shipments are complete and correct.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer delivery requirements.
• Maintain GMPs, housekeeping and organization standards in the work area.
