Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Forklift Operator in Manassas, VA to safely operate equipment and handle material throughout the facility. You will perform inspections, load trailers, and organize warehouse material while coordinating with supervisors to maintain efficient operations.

The role requires OSHA forklift certification, at least 1 year of forklift experience, and strong safety and reliability to meet daily objectives.

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift certification (29 CFR 1910.178) required.
• Customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; professional and cooperative.
• Strong time management to ensure duties are completed safely and efficiently.
• Good follow-through and reliability to adhere to schedules and handle challenges.
• Adheres to company policies and safety standards; avoids unnecessary risks.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience.
• Minimum 1 year of OSHA-regulated site experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of forklift and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Report to shift supervisor for daily work assignments.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently.
• Organize material in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with supervisor to empty full containers and trash bins.
• Monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
