Job summary

Genpak in Alabama seeks a forklift operator to move materials in a warehouse/manufacturing setting. You will operate PIT equipment, restock, load/unload, and help maintain inventory accuracy under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.

This role emphasizes safety, daily equipment checks, and adherence to OSHA guidelines, with routine participation in inventory and shipping tasks and use of barcoding for transactions.

Qualifications

• Powered Industrial Truck Certification (in-house training and licensing).

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials and stock in warehouse or manufacturing facility using forklift and material handling equipment.
• Perform all system related transactions to ensure inventory accuracy goals.
• Assist in preparing materials orders or truck orders and maintain accurate raw materials, pallets and carton counts for supervisor.
• Restock raw materials and pick locations for order fulfillment.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain clean manufacturing facility and forklift daily.
• Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures in performance of job duties.
• Operate all PIT equipment per OSHA specifications and daily inspections.
• Perform Bay Consolidations per Warehouse requirements.
• Move product from Production Staging area into proper bay location.
• Notify supervisor of damaged product.
• Participate in Annual Physical Inventory.
• Complete Load Sheets via Barcoding Scanners.
