Job summary

Pratt Industries in Ohio is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently operate the forklift, handle materials, and support production workflow in a busy plant. You will perform pre-shift inspections, maintain accurate inventory, and back up Shipping Lead as needed in a loud, active environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, labeling, data entry, and ensuring safety standards are followed. A valid forklift license is required, with experience in corrugated production preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in corrugated industry and/or as a forklift operator preferred.
• Ability to read factory instructions and safety guidelines.
• A valid forklift operator license is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain the forklift, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
• Complete daily forklift inspections before shift and report maintenance needs.
• Prepare stock for delivery to machines and optimize workflow.
• Store finished goods with proper labeling and organize stock areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and machine data.
• Keep stock locations updated in physical space and computer systems.
• Maximize equipment utilization to meet daily production schedules.
• Assist fellow operators and back up Shipping Lead as needed.
• Generate regular production, machine, safety, and quality reports.
• Follow policies, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and adhere to safety standards.
