Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Ohio seeks a Forklift Operator to safely operate and maintain forklifts, support materials storage, and ensure timely deliveries within a production environment.

You will perform daily inspections, prepare stock for machines, label goods, and maintain accurate paperwork while upholding safety standards. A high school diploma or GED is required; forklift license and prior corrugated industry experience are preferred; we offer strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: experience in corrugated industry and/or as a forklift operator.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain the forklift, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
• Complete daily forklift inspections before shift start and when operating new equipment, submitting maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Pre-shift stock readiness: ensure stock is located and prepared for delivery to machines.
• Remove finished goods from machines, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
• Organize and maintain stock in designated areas, adhering to safety and best practices.
• Complete required paperwork including inventory tracking, production data, and safety records.
• Maintain up-to-date stock locations in physical and computer storage systems.
• Maximize equipment utilization to meet daily production schedules.
• Assist fellow forklift operators and act as a backup for Shipping Lead.
• Produce regular reports on production data, machine status, safety, and quality.
