Job summary

Novo Building Products in Puyallup, WA is seeking an experienced Warehouse Worker to move products within the facility. You will operate a forklift, use RF scanners, and ensure correct labeling and safe handling of goods. Full-time position with day shift and hourly compensation.

Responsibilities include pulling material for orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Prior forklift experience (6,500 lb rating) and ability to work overtime are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Effectively performs all essential functions, including physical requirements.
• Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.
• Experience with operating a forklift with rate rating of 6,500 pounds.
• Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills
• Ability to read, understand and conduct written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift to move product and pallets throughout warehouse to an area safely.
• Pulls material for orders using an order picker, stand-up reach truck or sit-down lift truck.
• Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
• Ensures that product is moved and scanned using a radio frequency scanner to the correct location and confirms product labels are accurate.
• Locates and transports finished goods to the shipping staging area and prepare product for shipment verifying counts and weight and properly tagging the product.
• Wraps loads with a shrink wrapper and loads products on and off a truck for shipment.
• Completes and turns in all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Uses parcel shipping software to ship orders.
• Maintains a clean and safe area free and clear of any debris.
• Anticipates the needs of the business, keeping like product together and accessible.
• Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operate a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo.
• May place standup items into designated area by hand as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
