Job summary

Federal Recycling is seeking a dependable Forklift & Loader Operator to support daily material handling in our warehouse and yard. You will safely operate forklifts and loaders, stage materials, and collaborate with drivers and supervisors to maintain efficient material flow.

The role requires attention to detail, dependable attendance, and strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of forklift/loader/heavy equipment experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform and document daily equipment inspections.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and inventory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, loaders, and other material-handling equipment to move and stage materials throughout the facility and yard.
• Load and unload trailers while ensuring materials are handled safely and placed in designated areas.
• Feed recyclable materials into processing equipment at a consistent rate to support production.
• Move, stage, and organize inbound and outbound materials to maintain material flow and inventory.
• Support shipping and receiving by staging materials and preparing loads per schedules.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clean, organized docks, yards, and equipment operating areas.
• Identify and report damaged materials, equipment concerns, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Communicate with drivers and supervisors to coordinate material movement.
