Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Recycling & Warehouse Forklift Operator in Missouri. The role supports donations handling, inbound and outbound shipments, and safe, efficient product movement on a fast-paced team.

The position requires forklift certification, good communication, and organizational skills, with an hourly rate of $17.50 and up to $250 monthly in bonus potential. Equal opportunity employer; benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous Forklift experience or one year of Goodwill warehouse experience.
• Forklift Operator Certification is required.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
• Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• Efficiently move product from staging and storage areas into trailers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
• Use machinery safely and appropriately to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling.
• Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
