Job summary

Novo Building Products is seeking a forklift operator for our Amherst, NH area. The role involves moving products around the warehouse, using RF scanners, and ensuring loads are secure for transport to designated locations.

You will follow safety rules, keep work areas clean, and communicate issues to supervision. The shift runs 5am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Experience with 6,500 lb forklifts is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience operating a forklift with up to 6,500 lb rating.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Basic math and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move products and pallets throughout the warehouse.
• Use RF scanner to ensure correct location and label accuracy.
• Report discrepancies, product issues or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with PPE requirements.

Schedule5am - 1:30pm, Monday - FridayPay$20.50Position SummaryThe Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving products around the warehouse with ease. They need to use RF scanners to keep track of the items they are moving. The operator will need to ensure the product is secure and safe to transport to the designated location.Essential ResponsibilitiesOperates a forklift to move product and pallets throughout warehouse to an area safely.Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.Ensures that product is moved and scanned using a radio frequency scanner to the correct location and confirm product labels are accurate.Maintains a clean and safe area free and clear of any debris.Anticipates the needs of the business, keeping like product together and accessible.Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operate a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo.May place standup items into designated area by hand as required. Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications (Required)Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirementsAbility to move awkward product lengths and weight.Experience with operating a forklift with rate rating of 6,500 pounds.Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills .Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.Must be 18 years of age or older.Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as neededPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.Experience operating a forklift primarily with product weights of 2500 lbs. or more.Prior experience lifting wide loads, as long as 18 feet.Minimum one year experience operating a forklift.
