Job summary

Novo Building Products, headquartered in Zeeland, MI, seeks a Bilingual Team Lead to coordinate daily warehouse operations and lead a diverse team. You’ll train staff, manage task deadlines, ensure safety, and optimize product flow to meet customer needs and keep operations efficient.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 2 p.m.–12:30 a.m. with overtime as needed. Pay ranges from $20–$25 per hour, based on experience, with benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual (Spanish and English).
• Ability to perform essential functions with PPE and safety rules.
• Demonstrated leadership in distribution/manufacturing environment preferred.

As a Bilingual Team Lead, you'll serve as a key partner to the Department Supervisor, helping coordinate daily operations, maintain efficient workflows, and promote a safe, productive work environment. You'll provide hands-on training, coaching, and support to team members, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to meet performance goals and grow in their roles.Using your English and Spanish communication skills, you'll help foster a positive team culture, address challenges proactively, and encourage collaboration and accountability. If you're passionate about leading by example, developing talent, and making an impact every day, we'd love to have you on our team.Shift: Monday – Friday 2 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. (Overtime based on business demands)Pay: $20-25/hr. based on experienceEssential ResponsibilitiesDelegates tasks and sets deadlines for team goals.Creates a positive team environment with an open communication culture.Trains team members on job duties, safety, company policies and procedures.Directs product flow of incoming or outgoing loads to best utilize warehouse space and customer needs.Oversees that the daily operations run smoothly and assists team with questions, issues, or problems, monitoring for overall efficiency of department.Anticipates, identifies, and resolve problems that could delay the timely movement of freight, including advising customer service of carrier issues from pick-up and deliveries.Reviews paperwork is completed per department requirements.Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.Successfully passes Novo training and follows all safety requirements established.Participates in the safety team leadership.Performs warehouse activities to include receiving, stocking, pulling, banding/staging, and loading.Basic Qualifications (Required)Must be bilingual (Spanish and English)Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirementsUse of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skillsAbility to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.Must be 18 years of age or older.Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as neededPreferred QualificationsPrior leadership experience in distribution or manufacturing environmentExperience operating a power industrial equipment.Prior experience lifting wide loads, as long as 18 feet.Minimum one year experience operating a forklift.High School Diploma or GEDPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp.80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception.50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment.10: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twistingLift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.About Novo Building ProductsNovo Building Products is a leading manufacturer and distributor of stair parts, mouldings, doors, specialty millwork, and other building materials.
