Job summary

Welch Packaging is seeking an experienced forklift operator to move raw materials and finished goods within our Indiana facility. You will operate fork trucks and clamps, load and unload trucks and rail cars, and help keep docks and lines organized.

Responsibilities include reading the production schedule, ensuring safe operation, performing daily inspections, and communicating issues to the shift supervisor. Prior forklift experience and the ability to read tape measures are required.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience required.
• Must pass basic forklift and clamp truck training.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and clamp truck safely according to procedures.
• Receive, unload, and load materials; keep workspace organized.
• Read production schedule and report issues to supervisor.
• Perform daily forklift inspections as required by OSHA.
