Job summary

The Building Center, Inc. in Columbia, SC is hiring an Order Puller to support delivery and walk-in customers. You will pull assigned orders, operate a forklift, stage products, and ensure correct items are shipped.

This is a full-time, hourly position reporting to the Operations Manager. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 200 pounds, read and follow simple instructions, and work safely in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 200 pounds.
• Ability to read simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to work with basic math and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to handle orders.
• Pulls assigned orders for delivery.
• Place orders in staging area and label tickets.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.
• Notify dispatchers if products are out of stock.
• Keep shipping and warehouse areas clean at all times.
• Ensure all tickets are complete before submission.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
