Forklift Operator - Nights

Team member safely and efficiently operates motorized forklift to load and unload trucks, pull pallets of finished product from production lines, and place finished product in the warehouse as directed by onboard WMS system.

Essential Functions

• Operate forklift by moving levers and pressing pedals to control movement.
• Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Plan supply and material requirements based on production schedules.
• Retrieve supplies and materials, secure pallets, and move them to production locations.
• Maintain inventory and report discrepancies.
• Clear production area by moving finished and empty pallets.
• Log movements of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following safety standards and regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot forklift issues.
• Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and operating forklifts is preferred.
• Ability to navigate within a WMS system.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, operating forklifts, and managing projects or teams.

Competencies

Focus on safety, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and effective communication aligned with Niagara’s LIFE values.

Education & Certification

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
