Role: Forklift Operator - Nights

Team members safely and efficiently operate motorized forklifts to load and unload trucks, pull pallets of finished product from production lines, and place finished products in the warehouse as directed by the onboard WMS system.

Essential Functions:

• Operate truck controls to move and lift materials.
• Unload, stack, and organize materials using lifting devices.
• Plan supply and material requirements according to production schedules.
• Retrieve supplies and verify specifications, securing pallets on trucks and moving them to production locations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Clear production areas by moving finished and empty pallets.
• Log all movements of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following safety standards and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot forklift issues.
• Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED, no prior experience required; experience may include a combination of work and education.
• Proven ability to operate a sit-down motorized forklift safely.
• Ability to navigate within a WMS system.

• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, operating in a similar role, and managing people/projects.

Competencies: Focus on safety, innovation, problem-solving, and growth, aligned with Niagara’s LIFE competency model.

Education:

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.

Certification/License: Forklift certification required.

Foreign Language Proficiency: Minimum professional proficiency required; full proficiency preferred.
