Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dock team. Efficiently sort, load and unload freight, operate forklift and pallet jack, and secure cargo inside trailers while following safety policies on a dock that is not climate-controlled.

Pay starts at $22.85/hour with a $1.80/hour night premium. We offer full health insurance on day one, life and disability insurance, up to 13 PTO days in year one, 9 company holidays, a 401(k) match and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math calculations (with or without calculator).
• Willing to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Preferred: Dock or warehouse experience in transportation.
• Forklift experience in freight or LTL environment.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack as required.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools.
• Follow safety policies to work safely and efficiently.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that may be not climate-controlled for extended periods.
