Job summary

Detroit Manufacturing Systems is seeking a Hilo Driver to safely operate powered industrial trucks and move, locate, relocate, and stack product in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires certification, attention to detail, and the ability to work varying shifts with overtime as needed. You will support inventory control, complete paperwork, and uphold 5S and safety standards while collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience within a production / manufacturing environment.
• Valid Powered Industrial Truck Permit.
• Must be available to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated and task orientated.
• Strong team player.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks safely with required certification.
• Move, locate, relocate and stack product; load/unload trucks.
• Pick and pack items for shipment using a forklift.
• Coordinate with inventory control on product placement.
• Complete required paperwork and time-tracking.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures and raise issues.
• Assist in process improvement as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
