Job summary

ProTrans International Holdings is seeking a Regular Full-Time Manual Labor Forklift Material Handler in Duncan, SC. You will load, unload, and move materials, inspect items, coordinate transport, and maintain accurate shipment records in PTI System.

Responsibilities include operating forklift equipment, ensuring safety, and contributing to continuous quality improvements. High School diploma or GED preferred; English reading/writing required; bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Receives items for shipment; inspects identity, quantity and condition; flags damaged items.
• Opens containers as directed by instructions or supervisor.
• Loads/unloads materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand or with forklift or other equipment.
• Loads materials into carrier vehicles and secures with straps or padding to prevent shifting.
• Completes receiving and shipping documents per ProTrans specifications with scan gun.
• Counts, weights, and records units moved or handled in PTI System.
• Identifies shipments with proper marking and labeling; follows special handling instructions.
• Coordinates transportation requirements and data for reports.
• Stores inbound/outbound cargo; stacks/assembles materials as directed.
• Operates banding, taping, and sealing machinery; adheres to safety procedures.
• Contributes to continuous quality improvement and continual improvement initiatives.
