Job summary

ProTrans International is seeking a Forklift Material Handler in Duncan, SC to load, unload, and move materials within the facility and yards. You will follow work orders, inspect items, and ensure correct labeling and documentation per PTI procedures.

The role requires reading, writing English, basic math, and safety awareness; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Regular full-time position with forklift operation responsibilities and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules and procedures
• Ability to read and write English; bilingual EN/ES desired

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders to determine items to move.
• Receives items for shipment and inspects for identity, quantity, and condition.
• Opens containers as directed by instructions or supervisor.
• Loads/unloads materials using forklift or other handling equipment.
• Secures loads with straps and padding to prevent shifting.
• Delivers materials and completes shipping documents per ProTrans specs.
• Counts and records units moved in PTI System.
• Identifies shipments by marking and labeling with special handling instructions.
