Job summary

Big Tex Trailers is seeking a Material Handler to move trailers and materials across our facilities. You will operate a forklift and other equipment to efficiently relocate items within warehouses, production floors, and yards.

The role requires safe handling of varied components and strict adherence to loading procedures. You will unload shipments, inspect for damage, and load outgoing orders while using handheld devices to track inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior material handler experience preferred.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers and materials using forklifts, side lifts, combi lifts, pallet jacks, and handheld devices.
• Unload incoming shipments and inspect for damage; prepare outgoing shipments with proper packaging.
• Fulfils orders for sales, RMAs, and production materials; updates inventory in the WMS.
• Deliver materials to production areas to support schedules and minimize downtime.
• Perform visual quality checks on materials before delivery to production areas.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
