ProTrans International in El Paso, TX is seeking a Forklift Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within or near the center, cross dock, trailers, yard, or work site. The role requires reading work orders, operating a forklift, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include unloading shipments, inspecting items for damage, using a mobile scanner, and completing shipping documents per ProTrans specifications.

Qualifications

• Requires reading safety rules, instructions and manuals.
• English reading and writing is required; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus in some centers.

Responsabilités

• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify materials to move.
• Receives items for shipment and inspects for identity, quantity and condition.
• Opens containers as directed by work instructions or supervisor.
• Loads/unloads materials onto/off pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand or with forklift.
• Loads materials into carrier vehicles and ensures securing to prevent shifting or damage.
• Completes receiving/shipping documents per ProTrans specifications.
• Uses mobile scanner for receiving/shipping activities.
• Identifies shipments with proper marking and labeling, including special handling instructions.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Conducts daily safety and equipment checks.
• Operates banding, taping, and sealing equipment.
• Follows safety procedures and looks for continual safety improvements.
