Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Bartow, FL is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move materials between inventory and production according to the schedule.

You will handle packaging, labeling, and transportation of goods while maintaining accurate records and supporting production with timely material supplies. You will participate in safety programs, perform basic equipment checks, and help keep yards and warehouses organized.

Qualifications

• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic math and inventory techniques are preferred.
• Must complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, and/or pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Keep inventory yard organized and clean; maintain records.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies; participate in safety programs.
