Job summary

UFP Industries in Tampa, FL is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move materials between inventory and production according to the schedule. You will maintain paperwork and production records and support production with material needs.

Responsibilities include moving in-process material, packing and labeling finished goods, and helping with bottlenecks while following company forklift policies. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; forklift driving experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Forklift Driver licensing process must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods, and label material.
• Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report any problems or concerns.
• Maintain rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
